DICE in Łódź
Between 2nd and 6th of June 2014 at Łódź University of Technology took place Erasmus Staff Trainig Week. Event was organized by the Office for Persons with Disabilities in cooperation with the Erasmus Office of Łódź University of Technology.
The topic of the meeting was to identify needs and exchange experiences in the field of academic education of students with special educational needs. The meeting was attended by representatives of Sweden, Turkey, Spain, Greece and Italy.
Foundation specialists have been invited to participate in the second day of the workshop in order to present possibilities of action for the people with disabilities, including area of access to education, and to share their experience with international projects. One of the points of the presentation concerned project and the opportunities created by DICE in the framework of the DigiPlace4All platform.
Foreign students were very interested in the newly arising platform for the exchange of information and mutual broaden skills in the field of accessibility of information technology. Particular attention was paid to the enrichment of the contents created by users themselves and to broad project’s target group: not only persons with disabilities but also coaches, teachers and employers.
With the promotion of international meetings on such a project has a chance to reach the audience not only with the partner countries and to contribute to the fight against digital exclusion of people with disabilities across Europe and beyond.
